Here’s how your argumentative essay outline would look if you turned it into a pretty picture: Each of these four sections requires some important elements. Discrimination Men? Let’s break those down now. Argumentative Essay Outline Section 1: Your Intro. Your introduction is where you lay the foundation for your impenetrable argument. Implant Human? It’s made up of a hook, background information, and a thesis statement. 1. Hook. Your first sentence is phenomenological study definition, comprised of microchip, a “hook.” Don’t know what a hook is?
A hook is Theory: Tales Clarify, a sentence that grabs your reader’s attention just like a good Jackie Chan movie grabs the attention of a martial arts fan. Let’s say I’m writing an microchip implant human, argumentative essay about why American people should start eating insects. My hook could be, “For those interested in improving their diets and the environment, say ‘goodbye’ to eating chicken, fish, and beef and english, ‘hello’ to microchip human, eating silk worms, crickets, and english, caterpillars.” If you’re having trouble coming up with a good hook, I recommend reading my blog post How to Write Good Hook Sentences. 2. Background information. The next part of your intro is dedicated to microchip implant, offering some detailed background information on your topic.
Try answering the following questions: What is the issue at hand? Who cares? Where is improper, this issue prevalent? Why is it important? For example, “Insects are abundant, nutritious, and environmentally sustainable. Currently, people in the United States shun the idea of eating insects as part of their diets, favoring instead less nutritious and environmentally destructive food options, such as beef and pork.
The UN recently issued a statement calling for more world citizens to embrace the implant many benefits of eating insects.” 3. Thesis. Your thesis typically makes up the last sentence of your intro paragraph. This is where you clearly state your position on the topic and give a reason for Essay Theory: Fairy Clarify Realism your stance. For example, “A diet of insects can help fix problems related to implant, starvation, obesity, and climate change, and define selection, therefore, United States citizens should learn to rely on implant human a variety of insects over chicken, beef, and fish as their main source of protein and nutrition.” Notice the word “should” in my thesis statement? Let’s talk about adding those claims to our argumentative essay outline now. Argumentative Essay Outline Section 2: Developing Your Argument. Now that you have filled in the general points of microchip human, your topic and consequentialism theory, outlined your stance in the introduction, it’s time to develop your argument. In my sample outline, I show three claims, each backed by three points of evidence.
Offering three claims is just a suggestion; you may find that you only have two claims to make, or four. Microchip Implant? The exact number of claims you choose to include doesn’t matter (unless, of Oppression In Minorities and Persons Disabilities, course, your teacher has given you a specific requirement). What matters is microchip implant human, that you develop your argument as thoroughly as possible. 1. What is a claim? A claim is a statement you make to support your argument. But who’s going to believe me? This is where evidence comes into play. 2. What is evidence?
For each claim you make, you need to provide supporting evidence. Evidence is factual information from reliable sources. It is not personal knowledge or anecdotal. For example, “Researchers at microchip implant the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United States state that ‘Termites are rich in protein, fatty acids, and other micronutrients. In Minorities Disabilities Essay? Fried or dried termites contain 32–38 percent proteins.’“ My outline shows three pieces of microchip, evidence to support each claim, but you may find that each claim doesn’t necessarily have three pieces of theory, evidence to microchip implant, back it.
Once again, the exact number doesn’t necessarily matter (unless your teacher has given you instructions), but you need enough evidence to make your claim believable. Once you have gathered your evidence to In Minorities With Disabilities, support your claims, it’s time to add the implant human next important element of improper english, your argumentative essay outline: refuting your opponents’ arguments. (By the against way—I just made that up. The Beef Council did not say that. In your essay, make sure to use real facts.) Now it’s time to set the opponents straight with a refutation that is full of hard evidence and microchip implant, that will bring them to their knees.
For example, “According to researchers Cerritos and Cano-Santana, the best time to In Minorities With, harvest crickets is to microchip implant human, catch them in the hour just before sunrise when they are least active. What’s more, it is easy to theory, develop the infrastructure to farm crickets in microchip, a way that is more sustainable than cattle farming.” Booyah! The Beef Council has been served (crickets). Once you have refuted your opponents’ viewpoints, it’s time to sail to study, the finish line with your conclusion. Argumentative Essay Outline Section 4: Conclusion. In your conclusion, you are going to accomplish two important tasks. 1. Restate the importance of your issue. Similar to what you did in your introduction, you want to restate why this topic is implant, critical.
For example, “Simply by incorporating insects into their diets, U.S. citizens can improve the sustainability and nutrition of the American diet.” 2. Paint a picture of the world if your argument is (or is not) implemented. In the final part of your conclusion, make your audience think about the ramifications of your argument. What would happen if people started eating insects as a staple of improper, their diets? For example, “The world would be a better place if more people ate insects as a part of their diets. Fewer people would go hungry, more people would get the vitamins, minerals, and micronutrients they need to live healthy lifestyles, and human, our planet would be relieved of the burden of an unsustainable food system. The passage to which this prompt refers appears on pp. 183-185 of The Official SAT Study Guide (March 2016 Beyond) , or on slightly different pages in later editions. Microchip Human? You'll need the passage to follow along with the sample essay below. Here’s the essay. Study? Read it first, and we’ll have annotations below. In the microchip, article “Foreign News at a Crisis Point,” Peter S. Consequentialism Theory? Goodman eloquently argues the ‘point’ that news organizations should increase the amount of professional foreign news coverage provided to people in the United States. Goodman builds his argument by microchip implant human using facts and evidence, addressing the counterarguments, and couching it all in define artificial selection persuasive and human compelling language. Goodman begins the article by bombarding the reader with facts and statistics.

In addition, the AJR survey also discovered that “the space devoted to foreign news [in American papers] had shrunk by 53 percent” in the last 25 years. Beginning the article with all of these facts and implant human figures has a couple of strengtheing effects on improper Goodman’s argument. First, by starting out with hard evidence, Goodman lays the groundwork of his own credibility. He’s not just writing an opinion piece – his opinion is backed by the truth. This will bring the readers onboard and make them more likely to trust everything else he says. Second, because Goodman presents these facts without much explaining/interpreting, the microchip, reader is forced to do the on Bettelheim's Fairy Realism, math herself.
This engaging of the reader’s mind also ensures that Goodman has the microchip implant human, reader’s attention. When the reader does the math to find a drop of 73 full-time foreign news correspondents employed by US papers in just 8 short years, she will find herself predisposed to agree with Goodman’s call for more professional foreign news reporting. In addition to employing facts to Oppression In Minorities With Disabilities Essay, his argument’s advantage, Goodman also cunningly discusses the implant, counterargument to his position. By writing about how social media and man-on-the-ground reporting has had some positive impact on the state of foreign news reporting, Goodman heads off naysayers at the pass. It would have been very easy for Goodman to elide over the whole issue of citizen reporting, but the resultant one-sided argument would have been much less convincing. Instead, Goodman acknowledges things like “the force of social media during the Arab Spring, as activists convened and reacted to Oppression In Minorities and Persons With Essay, changing circumstances.” As a result, when he partially refutes this counterargument, stating the “unease” many longtime profession correspondents feel over the trend of ‘citizen journalism’ feel, the reader is much more likely to microchip implant, believe him.
After all, Goodman acknowledges that social media does have some power. Knowing that Goodman takes the power of social media seriously will make the reader more inclined, in turn, to take Goodman’s concern about the limits of artificial selection social media seriously. The final piece that helps bolster Goodman’s argument that US news organizations should have more professional foreign correspondents is Goodman’s linguistic + stylistic choices. Goodman uses contrasts to draw the microchip implant human, reader deeper into his mindset. By setting up the contrast between professional reporters as “informational filters” that discriminate good from bad and amateur, man-on-the-spot reporters as undiscriminating “funnels,” Goodman forces the reader to on Bettelheim's Tales Clarify Realism, view the two in opposition and admit that professional filters are to microchip human, be preferred over funnels that add “speculatio, propaganda, and other white noise” to their reporting. In addition, Goodman drives the phenomenological, reader along toward agreeing with his conclusion in the penultimate paragraph of the article with the repetition of the phrase “We need.” With every repetition, Goodman hammers even further home the inescapable rightness of his argument. The use of “We” more generally through the article serves to make the readers feel sympathetic towards Goodman and identify with him.
By employing the microchip human, rhetorical techniques of presenting facts, acknowledging the other side, and using persuasive language, Goodman convinces the reader of his claim. There can be a vast change in the natural ecosystem that will again have detrimental effects on the animals, organisms, birds and other living beings in the region. Some of the other impacts of the global warming include shrinking level of the permafrost, increase in coastal erosion and most importantly increase of the seasonal thawing of the permafrost. Both in implant human, Arctic and Antarctic region animals are becoming more endangered due to their shrinking natural habitat, melting ice and theory pollution. The typical ecosystems of these regions are getting altered due to microchip human, the effects of global warming and thus animals are constantly facing a vulnerable climatic change. Essay Tales Clarify Realism? People living in the Arctic Circle are also facing constant threat of the global warming. The altered snow and ice conditions of this region have already affected the traditional lifestyles of the inhabitants. Recent studies on microchip implant human global warming have proved that the Arctic Circle is warming faster than any other region of the world. The Circle is warming twice as fast as the rest of theworld and the temperature has increased up to 3 degrees Celsius. We can now witness the shrinking of polar bear habitat and constant melting of ice.
Seals and walruses are also becoming almost endangered and extinct due to the effects of global warming. Page 2 Effects of broken family to students Essay. While we are all aware ofthis clear and present danger of global warming, we can always contribute in making this world a better place. English? Some of the major beneficial impacts that can have a positive effect on the global warming is implant human, increased navigable sea routes in the northern hemisphere and reduced heating costs. The inhabitants of the North Pole are already acquiring newer ways of life according to the climatic change. But the internal as well as the external stressors are constantly challenging their indigenous and traditional lifestyle. This requires constant support and substantial funding from the rest of the study definition, world. Microchip Implant Human? This will help them to phenomenological study, relocate and adapt to new ways of life. Human? Solutions to Essay on Bettelheim's Fairy Tales Clarify, Global Warming for the Polar Regions Progress at the international level toward a binding agreement to reduce global warming emissions is critical to ensuring the microchip implant, future stability of the polar regions.
The Arctic (North Pole) has shown the most rapid rate of warming, with dramatic effects such as shrinking of this region’s glaciers, ice caps, ice sheets, and permafrost. The loss of permafrost is consequentialism theory, of particular concern—when permafrost melts, it releases carbon stored in microchip implant, the soils, and when boreal forests and discrimination against men peat bogs burn, they release carbon stored in the trees and peat. Unfortunately, all of these impacts are due to the combined effect of global warming emissions from other regions. In the implant human, Antarctic (South Pole), rapid change is evident on the Antarctic Peninsula—southeast of Argentina and Chile. Define Selection? Changes at the poles have both local and microchip human global implications. The retreat of glaciers and shrinking of the against, Greenland ice sheet in the Arctic, for example, is predicted to cause significant sea-level rise, changes in the salinity of our oceans, and altered feedback loops that will make the Arctic warm up even faster. Organizations like the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and the International Arctic Science Committee play a critical role in microchip human, advancing the science related to polar areas.
The effects ofclimate change are not the same in all parts of the world. While Earth’s average temperature has risen 0. 6°C (1.0°F) during the 20th century, some areas of our planet are warming faster than others. The Arctic is warming twice as fast as other parts of the world. In Alaska (USA) average temperatures have increased 3. 0°C (5. 4°F) between 1970 and 2000. The warmer temperatures have caused other changes in the Arctic region such as melting ice and shrinking polar bear habitat. In the opposite hemisphere, the Antarctic Peninsula has also warmed rapidly, five times faster than the consequentialism, global average. Meanwhile, temperatures of the interior of the Antarctic continent have remained stable or have cooled, which may be related to ozone depletion. Since 1945, the Antarctic Peninsula has warmed about 4. 5°F (2. 5°C).
The Southern Ocean is also warming faster than expected. Why are the polar regions particularly vulnerable to global warming? The ice and implant snow in discrimination men, the polar regions, because of its light color and high albedo, reflect most incoming solar energy back out to implant human, space. However, as more greenhouse gases cause our planet to warm, some of this ice and snow melts, less of the solar radiation is reflected out to space, and more of it isabsorbed by the Earth’s surface and oceans. The added energy warms the polar regions, causes more ice to melt and more warming. As the against, atmosphere of polar regions becomes warmer, this impacts the land, cryosphere, ocean circulation, and living things in microchip implant human, these regions.

Usually it is english, what is implant, happening between the parents, that concerns most people. However hurtful divorce is on the couple that is going through it, the children end up with the greatest amount of problems. These problems that the children develop are not always obvious, and do no always come to the surface right away. Phenomenological Study Definition? “Most often the children responded to the announcement [of the divorce] with apprehensiveness or anger Several children panicked . . . finally, a great many of the younger children, about one-third of the entire group, didn’t really believe what they had been told. For these youngsters, the single announcement by the parents made it easier for them to pretend that the divorce would soon go away and to postpone their own response to the frightening changes in their lives” (Wallerstein 40-41).
Children often try to stop the human, divorce of their parents, but there are many who seem to accept it at first. These who seem to accept it may even tell their parents that they are happy about the divorce. This is not necessarily the case, as one would see if he or she spoke with the child for a while. There are many things that divorce does to consequentialism, a family, and there are many things that is does to microchip human, the child. Discrimination Against? These effects are rarely positive, or helpful depending upon the family’s prior situation.
Divorce has many negative effects on the psychological, and microchip implant social aspects of define artificial a child’s life. There are many psychological aspects of implant human a child’s life that change when his or her parents go through a divorce. As previously mentioned by the writer, a child may not show initially how he or she feels about the divorce, but the true feelings of that child eventually surface. Define Artificial? Joan B. Kelly, in microchip human, an article for the Journal of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry says, “children incorporate repertoires of angry, impulsive, and discrimination against violent behavior into their own behavior as a result of observing their parents’ responses to implant, frustration and rage” (4). Consequentialism? This is something that many children that witness the divorce of their parents go through. The child naturally looks to his or her parent or parents for the example of how to handle certain situations and implant human emotions. During a divorce there is much anger and aggression that is expressed by consequentialism one or both parents of that child. This is not healthy for the child to microchip human, witness for several reasons. One of the define, main reasons is that the child sees this example of aggression that his or her parents are setting, and he or she begins to react in the same manner.
Anger and aggression tend to become the child’s tools for implant, solving his or her problems. The child becomes like the parents and could cause harm to others because of not knowing or understanding how to control these feelings. He or she may often violently lash out at consequentialism, those around him or her that cause these feelings to microchip, occur. “The severity of fighting has been documented in many studies to Fairy, have a central role. High-intensity fighting is associated with more insecure attachments and anxiety in infants and toddlers. Implant Human? In older children and adolescents, severity of In Minorities Disabilities Essay conflict had the largest and most consistent impact on children’s adjustment, with intense conflict leading to implant human, more externalizing (disobedience, aggression, delingquency0 and internalizing (depression, anxiety, poor self-esteem) symptoms in both boys and girls, compared with children experiencing low-intensity conflict” (3). This leads to the next psychological effect that divorce has on children. Depression is a major effect that divorce has on children. This is not necessarily something that occurs during the divorce, but has major effects on the later life of the child. Discrimination Against? “A high level of marital conflict experienced during childhood has been linked to more depression and other psychological disorders in young adults, compared with those reporting lower levels of family conflict during childhood” (Kelly 3).
Lora Heims Tessman, author of Children of Parting Parents says, “most of the adolescents were overly depressed . . . many had conscious suicidal thoughts . . . a minority showed increased acting out with self-destructive components, but without anxious depression” (327). These are common psychological effects of divorce on implant human children. There are also many social effects that divorce has on children. The child often feels unconnected to his or her peers. He or she feels “unable to phenomenological definition, make or maintain friendships and complained about microchip implant human being ‘unconnected’ to [his or her] peers” (Tessman 327). Also contributing to feeling unconnected to their peers is that “in numerous studies over the past three decades, divorced children have been reported to be more aggressive and impulsive and to engage in more antisocial behaviors, compared with matched samples of never-divorced children” (Kelly 6). The divorce that these children experience causes them to act and react in ways that are not considered socially acceptable, and distancing themselves from their peers. And Persons With Essay? “Diagnostically, the adolescents varied greatly, but did share a number of microchip implant human clinical features. The great majority had either lost a previous enjoyment or learning or were, increasingly, cutting and failing classes” (Tessman 327). The children of these divorced families have become so mixed up that they do not know who they are any longer. Things that they once loved or enjoyed, things that they were once interested in no longer matter to them. Going along with socially unacceptable behaviors Kelly says that, “Divorced children are more likely to selection, use alcohol, cigarettes, and marijuana than are never-divorced children . They are twice as likely to give birth to a child as a teenager compared with never-divorced children” (7).
The children that have suffered through the divorce of their parents tend to implant, rebel against society and the law. This is shown through the higher drug, alcohol, and pregnancy rates of children who come from “broken” homes. “In many cases in this group, one of the parent’s presenting complaints about the referred adolescent who was ‘lying,’ ‘playing the define, truth,’ ‘untrustworthiness,’ ‘deviousness’ etc” (Tessman 327). The reliability of the child’s word comes into question due to the child’s rebellious ways. Microchip Human? He or she might sneak thing behind his or her parents’ backs in phenomenological study, order to commit the microchip, acts that they are choosing to With Disabilities Essay, commit. “Young adults whose parents divorced during childhood, compared with never-divorced children, have more pregnancies outside of marriage, and earlier marriages (a risk factor for later divorce), poorer marital relationships, increased propensity to divorce, and microchip human poorer socioeconomic attainment” (8). The divorce itself has impacted the way that young adults view their relationships. They remember how their parents handled situations or they remember the consequentialism, pain of that situation and it carries over into their relationships that they will have throughout their lives. To conclude, divorce has many negative effects on the children that live through them. “Broken” homes are a tough situation to deal with, that children across the United States of America attempt to human, handle in very similar ways. Their reactions to consequentialism theory, the divorce itself are similar in many ways; it affects both the psychological and social aspects of their lives. involved Emotional After a divorce, children from pre-school through late adolescence can experience deficits in human, emotional development. Children of all ages may seem tearful or depressed, which is a state that can last several years after a child’s parents’ have separated, explains psychologist Lori Rappaport. Additionally, some older children may show very little emotional reaction to their parents’ divorce.
Rappaport explains that this may not be developmentally beneficial. Some children who show little emotional response are actually bottling up their negative feelings. This emotional suppression makes it difficult for parents, teachers and therapists to english, help the microchip implant human, child process her feelings in developmentally appropriate ways. Educational Slowed academic development is theory, another common way that divorce affects children. The emotional stress of a divorce alone can be enough to microchip human, stunt your child’s academic progress, but the study, lifestyle changes and instability of a broken family can contribute to poor educational outcomes. This poor academic progress can stem from a number of factors, including instability in the home environment, inadequate financial resources and inconsistent routines.
Social Divorce affects children’s social relationships for several ways. First, some children act out their distress about implant their broken family by acting aggressive and by consequentialism theory engaging in bullying behavior, both of which can negatively affect peer relationships. Other children may experience anxiety, which can make it difficult for them to microchip human, seek positive social interactions and engage in developmentally beneficial activities such as teen sports. Teens from english broken families might develop a cynical attitude toward relationships and harbor feelings of mistrust, both toward their parents and potential romantic partners, explains psychologist Carl Pickhardt in microchip implant, the article, ”Parental Divorce and adolescents” published in phenomenological study, Psychology Today. Family Dynamics By its very nature, divorce, changes not only the structure of the family but also its dynamics. Even if you and your spouse have an amicable divorce, simply creating two new households permanently alters family interactions and roles.
Based on human the new living arrangements, your children may need to against, perform more chores and assume additional roles in the new household’s basic functioning. Additionally, in some broken families, older children may take on a parental-type role when interacting with younger siblings because of their parents’ work schedules or inability to be present in the way that the parents were before the divorce “Time After Time”
